     "Millside Electric and Blower Door" owners; Phil and Terry Moore have a combined background of 65 years of service in the construction industry.   In1986 Phil began his career in the electrical trade.  By 1995 Phil earned his masters electrical  license and acquired his electrical contractors license in1998 Trading as Millside Electrical Services and performing commercial and residential installations and renovation work.  He began working as an electrical instructor in 2003 under DOE and retired form teaching in 2023.

     In 1999 Terry was hired by the Dinwiddie building official's office to assist contractors and home owners with building permit regulations and acquisition.  She was promoted to building inspector status in 2012 and retired from county employment in 2024.  As an inspector Terry's foresight in recognizing the need for certified energy code infiltration and duct testing providers encouraged the expansion of our company to provide these service for new construction.  Terry became a certified BPI technician in December of 2022 and Phil became BPI certified in August of 2023. 

   The need for energy code testing providers has grown since 2022 when Infiltration testing became a requirement under the building code of Virginia.  It is "Millside Electric and Blower Door's"  goal to fill this void and provide contractors and home owners with a reliable company they can depend on for honest infiltration and duct leakage testing.  Our testing procedures will ensure the construction of your new home, complies with  IECC energy codes for infiltration and duct leakage standards.
